I think we really need a torrent client, but I'm fine removing some
console stuff.

Just kidding: It doesn't save much space, only 75 KB.
I think Christoph filed a bug to remove some dependencies:

Don't know if there is any recent changes concerning this issue.
I have set the bug to need info. If Warren doesn't respond in time, I'm
willing to (ab)use my proven packager powers to fix this.
I think there are also other ways to save space, I'm thinking of
explicitly excluding some input methods or fonts. Is this appropriate or
are we discriminating certain people/countries/languages then?
