I believe nss_ldap keeps an open ldap connection for a period of time in 
order to service multiple requests without the tear up/tear down 
overhead of tcp/ip.  What you see in the logs is likely it being 
successful at reconnecting after a timeout of the connection i.e. normal 
operation.
