Has anyone done the Pass sync thing for active directory and fedora ds?

Windows machines will not authenticate directly with an LDAP server. 
You'd need to do something like set up Samba using LDAP as a back end. 

There are plenty of how-to's out there. Googling "samba ldap domain 
controller" should be enough to get you started.
