There are people on the list that have installed the Fedora DS 1.0.4 FC6 
binary on RHEL5 and have it running.

There are many people that do not have this problem. That's why I'm 
trying to figure out what could be different about your environment. The 
LD_LIBRARY_PATH is one thing.
