This is very sad indeed. I strongly disapprove this kind of attitude
though I must admit though that I have found great help through the
#fedora channel.

I don't want to waste time chatting about moderation and then "freedom
vs authority". On the other hand when joining #fedora you get a message
from ChanServ. It's a disclaimer:

[#fedora] "Any advice you read here is provided by individual community
members. You should use it at your OWN RISK. This advice is owned by
each individual, and does NOT represent the views of Freenode, Fedora or
Red Hat. This channel may be logged"

No, that doesn't mean that we should start vandalizing the channel, but
this message should lower any expectations. That means we are warning
people there is no paradise (not on IRC for sure) therefore our friend
should not pay attention to anyone disrespectful to him. I hope he will
reconsider carefully.

Anyway,I suggest we also point people to our mailing lists.
