[Ambassadors] New Membership Process for the Ambassador Group!

Dear Ambassadors,

as a result from discussions, suggestions and concerns that we had in the last 
weeks to work on a better Ambassador Membership Experience for all new and 
"old" Ambassadors [1], FAmSCo decided for a new Ambassador Membership Process 
in the meeting from Jun-04-2009.

We decided against more formal barriers!

The Mentors are now the Key-Role to find out, one is ready or not.

FAmSCo is thrilled to announce the new Joining Process:

This decission by a Mentor is - and should be - a personal, subjective 
decission. Listed Mentors are invited by FAmSCo and well trusted, we have no 
further bureaucratic controls established for the Mentors!

Why FAmA keeps the Sponsoring Role?
Because, we have certain other requirements, especially the Mailing List
Membership, and as example we want not make all Mentors ML-Admins to
control this step.

We have Ambassadors in the Sponsorship Queue who will join through the "old" 
Process in the next days. 

But from today Jun-09-2009 we start we the new Process!
