I agree with you it's bad, but sadly it wouldn't be the first time
something like that happens.

Fedora 15 failed to update after install using PackageKit* (yum update
did work though) and I believe the ISO was never fixed.

I remember this issue because I been advocating Fedora as an user
friendly operating system for a long time, and F15 required a novice
user to fix things using the console :( He kept using Fedora, so far so
good!

May be pointing out an old issue (well, not that old 2012-04-09 was the
latest update to the bug report) looks useless, but I think it's
important because it may mean there's room for improvement.
