Hi,

Just a note about Ambassadors and activity in India.

Kushal has already mentioned that there are many people who are active in
upstream projects from India. I agree that there has been a decline in the
sound that we used to create. Major reason of that would be that we all
have spread in last couple of years. Ankur has moved to Australia, Suchakra
to Canada, Arun to USA and I am out in Mumbai (almost no contributors and
events are held in Mumbai). Still all of us are quite active in our
respective area of contribution to Fedora in general and spreading the word
whenever we get any opportunity.

I refrain from taking budget from Fedora because my employer sponsors most
of my domestic travel to conferences and gatherings. It makes more sense to
take money from a for-profit organisation. Of course there are catches to
that funding but still it helps everyone, me, my employer and Fedora.

That said, there is always a scope of improvement and if anyone has
suggestions, I am sure all of the Indian ambassadors and contributors would
be happy to listen and improve.

PS: I would be present at Rootconf, Bangalore (most probably). If someone
wants to catch up, I will be available.
