+1 from me. I personally think he is the best candidate for this position.
FAmSCo also nominated him in the last meeting [1].

However, since this has been discussed in Ambassadors list only, I think
it is best to raise it in Marketing, Design, etc. mailing lists. They may
have some other candidates.
That would be also an idea in the last FAmSCo meeting and I will do it now.
