HBase update

Upstream hbase has released 0.96 and I have rebased all the patch 
branches on it.  The test branch will build cleanly providing:
A) You compile/install the dependencies that are awaiting review
B) You disable most of the tests.

The server and integration tests seem to be the most troublesome, but 
I've seen issues in client and thrift as well from time to time.  I'll 
be digging into the test failures.
