This reminds me, we package an S3 server (tabled) in Fedora since F12.
I do not quite understand what the advantage of integrating yum
with S3 would be, but we can do it in Fedora today if we want.

Yeah Ruby is a no-go. Fortunately yum itself is in Python, and Boto
is not all that bad as a library.
