I'm almost 100% we worked on a mission statement around the time the
marketing group was starting on the separate products last year. I can't
seem to find it now, but IIRC there was discussion during meetings in
IRC then approval on the mailing list. There was a deadline for
marketing and it was entered in a ticket, I believe.
