It's also entirely possible to reject Gnome proposal and offer them what 
ever the Design team comes up with, to use instead ;)

One thing is for certain if what was commented on Nicu blog is true.

There are striking similarity between upstream KDE wallpaper and 
upstream Gnome so finding a mutual artwork between those two should not 
remain a problem.
