I didn't say it was. I just said that was what Christoph was talking
about.

That's not what Christoph was talking about either. Go back and read his
email. He just made some points that it's pretty natural when a team
involves a bunch of people from one employer, they will wind up
communicating in non-public ways, and I think that's fairly true. It's
not as if they're being malicious, it just...happens. It's hard to force
yourself to write an email to a public list for everything if you know
everyone else who's actively involved is within yelling distance. I know
I have to stop myself doing it all the time, when I'm in an environment
that makes it possible.

Or, to quote Christoph exactly:

evil people, it's just in the nature of things they operate behind
closed doors. It is so much easier to quickly go from one cube to the
next to make a decision than having to bother with a committee, a
mailing list or the many voices of the community."
