Thanks so much for providing a very clear answer. I will now continue
asking for permissions from vendors..

While it is correct that it is unlikely that we'll be able to get
permission for all vendors, I'm hopeful that all Free OS vendors will
cooperate on this. Actually I already got permission from Canonical
about use of Ubuntu logo.
