1) Schedule Reminders

2) Fedora Branding Fonts Project

• We've decided on using Cantarell for body textand will work to
determine specific fallback fonts for uncovered languages
• ianweller posted a great summary of his conversation with pam chestek
regarding our trademarks and fonts

• tatica created a mockup showing the FUDcon logo using Comfortaa for
location. It looks great so we'll change the FUDcon logo template to
match. (I think Ian will work on this?)

• Luya packaged up Comfortaa and needed a package review, so maximillion
started the review process

• Emilly created an awesome font comparison app

• There is a bug with Cantarell in inkscape where it goes bold when it
shouldn't, both Jef and Mo saw it in Inkscape .47 - but Emily noted
Inkscape .48 doesn't have the bug
• current font proposal is to use cantarell where possible > fall back
to droid > fall back to dejavu OR cantarell + specific hand-picked fonts
per locale (mizmo, 19:26:18)
• ACTION: Emichan will add the ability to compare droid and dejavu for
cyrillic in her font compare app
• Emichan found that Droid Sans Fallback / Japanese have CJK support,
apache v2 licensed 

3) New Design Wiki Page

• Emily did a great update to the Design wiki page and deprecated the
old Artwork one
∘ there are still Artwork resources that haven't been copied over, are
they useful?
• Fabsh suggested adding a list of team members (anybody up for creating
this?)
• Mizmo agreed to clean up the meeting notes section
• ACTION: we'll discuss new artwork guidelines for fedora next meeting

4) (Open Floor) PickPic

• We set up a PickPic project for Fedora 14's artwork and a bunch of
folks sined up for accounts

5) (Open Floor) GNOME Shell Theming

• We might want to look into theming GNOME shell
• It probably won't be used in F14 by default though (opt-in switch)
• Themes are CSS-based. You just need to install GNOME Shell
(instructions at URL) and modify
gnome-shell/source/gnome-shell/src/theme/gnome-shell.css
• Mizmo talked to the GNOME design folks after the meeting; a UI to
switch themes will probably not be built into GNOME Shell's core, it'll
probably be an add-on. Meaning there won't be an easy way to switch
themes in F14.

6) Make Art / Open Source Art Conference

• Aym told us about an open source art conference. They are still
accepting proposals through mid-August. It is in France.
• Mizmo will send out the infos to the list.

7) Social half hour +

After the meeting, we tried to meet up in ManaWorld but faced some
rather concerning problems:

• Our characters were all NEKKIES. Ouch.
• Strange maggots attacked us
• We couldn't talk!!! Not leveled-up enough

If you have any ideas for a fun social meetup with maybe a little less
nekkid-ness, let's discuss :)
