A couple of things I forgot:

- Any wallpapers that didn't make the default are more than welcome to
be developed further and submitted as part of the Fedora 14 supplemental
wallpapers. All of the critique given on the wallpapers we voted on is
available on the concept wiki page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F14_Artwork_Theme_Concepts#Votes

- To submit a wallpaper to be considered for the F14 supplemental
wallpapers, please add it to the following wiki page:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F14_Artwork_Supplemental_Wallpapers_Submissions

---

Also, would anybody be interested in blogging our decision and asking
for feedback, critique, and help on the winning concept? Here are the
important points to cover:

1) The Fedora 14 codename is Laughlin. Robert Laughlin, a 1998 Nobel
Prize winner in Physics, argues for emergence which is a concept that
says "The whole is more than the sum of its parts".

2) The winning Fedora 14 default wallpaper concept is Kyle Baker's
concept, which is meant to depict many lines coming together to form a
solid whole.

3) Kyle created the base of the wallpaper using the open source 3D
graphics program, Blender. He has made all of his source files available
on his Fedora people page:
http://fedorapeople.org/~kybaker/F14_wallpaper/

4) The concept itself looks like this:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:F14-image2.png

5) The Fedora Design team is currently working towards a 30 July 2010
deadline to craft this concept into a beautiful rendering for the Fedora
14 alpha wallpaper. Any feedback, critique, or even help is greatly
appreciated. Feedback can be provided:

- On the Fedora design-team mailing list:

- In the blog post comments

Who's up for taking on this task? :)
