That's really cool Jef!  I had been looking into some of Inkscapes features that generate patterns based on mathematical expressions.  The function plotter and L-system (Lindenmeyer systems) both seem promising, but I don't know if they could be successfully used in an aesthetically pleasing manner, though they would certainly be in keeping thematically with our design goal. I was reading Aza Raskin's tweets today (@azaaza) and came across a very 
interesting website:

Click "next" or "previous" to see more cool stuff. They seem to have a lot in common with the design concept for F14. Especially #2, #3 and #4 look like they would make great wallpapers, and definitely fits our goals of "emergence" and such.


It uses Raskin's "Algorithm Ink" (http://azarask.in/projects/algorithm-ink/#e03e6859), which is open source. You can fill in the code from the Forrest O website and edit it. 


Maybe this can help us create some more cool wallpapers. Only problem I found so far is that you can't save it as a vector image (as far as I can see).
