I don't catch the word "filigree".
However, Using fedora logo to communicate "Gaia" or "Lovelock" is a
grand task, unless lively objects (whether concrete or abstract) can
be depicted as evolving from it -- or growing on it.  Again there is
the license issue.  I don't want to be considering litigation while
I'm designing.
