Gnome/classical disabled

I had it installed and used it with the beta/RC for the last 2 weeks ,but
it disappeared after upgrade to GA/final and after openng the new Gnome
interface once. If I choose the 'classic'  option from the login screen
then the system just goes back to the login screen. And next time there is
no ('gearwheel') selector.
