alsa-lib, alsa-utils, alsa-oss have my publish vote already, all are
version 1.0.0 rc2 and work great with Fedora Core 1:

  alsa-lib: https://bugzilla.fedora.us/show_bug.cgi?id=590
  alsa-utils: https://bugzilla.fedora.us/show_bug.cgi?id=591
  alsa-oss: https://bugzilla.fedora.us/show_bug.cgi?id=592

alsa-driver builds fine and works for me, but doesn't adhere to the
fedora.us package naming guidelines. I'd really appreciate additional
comments on this. In particular, from the fedora.us guys who created C.5
and whether to put the UP and SMP modules into a single package.

Since Thorsten Leemhuis took over the ALSA packages at fedora.us, ALSA is
my primary sound system with Fedora Core 1.
