I've got a working 3.0.1 SRPM package for Samba 3.0.1. I took Fedora's
samba-3.0.0-15.src.rpm, updated to 3.0.1 tarball, fixed the .buildroot
and .pie patches, removed the .testparm patch (already merged in 3.0.1)
and made some little adjustments to the .spec file. Otherwise, it's
pretty untested, but it compiles :-)

Is anyone interested on it?
