Well, it would be nice to have someplace to point people when the
answer is RESOLVED->NOTABUG (hardware not supported)

You'd definitely want to have the ability to file a bug report in
bugzilla and say "my hardware report is at URL foo" for easy access.
bugzilla really isn't set up for this kind of information AFAIK...

(Now Dave will chime in and tell me that bugzilla can butter my
bread for me, of course.)

Mmmm, I'm thinking a lot more structured information and cross-linking.
I'm not sure how useful it is without that.  I think you really want
a database behind it in order to do interesting queries, especially
the kinds of queries you have proposed.  :-)
