Uhm. AFAIK, rrdtool is a common prerequisite for both MRTG and Cricket; and I
can't immediately see any reason why MRTG could not be replaced with Cricket?

Whether it /should/ be replaced is a matter for discussion of course; IMO it
should, but I'm not entirely impartial. :-)
