RPM problem with 2.6 again

Hi,

I'm running 2.6 for a couple of days now. Everything's fine.
Thanks to all kernel hackers here.

Since a few (couple?) days ago RPM used to drop a warning about
something I cannot remember for everything I did calling rpm. I
decided to do rpm --rebuilddb with the hope that the warning
disappears. I wish to confirm that 'rpm --rebuilddb' compeleted
successfully but I have lost all my package information, ie. 'rpm
-q kernel' says kernel is not installed. Same for every other
thing.

Here is the contents of /var/lib/rpm, which from the sizes I
assume the data is still there:

[root at mces root]# ll /var/lib/rpm/
total 7288
-rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 1310720 Jan 21 18:54 Basenames
-rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 12288 Jan 21 16:26 Conflictname
-rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 217088 Jan 21 18:54 Dirnames

-rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 12288 Jan 21 18:54 Name

-rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 45056 Jan 21 18:54 Requireversion

-rw-r--r-- 1 rpm rpm 12288 Jan 21 18:54 Triggername

Let me know if you want the contents.

PS. Just to not make more noise on list: What about putting a
cron job to do build-locale-archive? Of course it can check if
there's any new locale definition or not.

One more thing that a bugzilla entry is an overkill for: In
latest kernel-utils package /etc/cpuspeed.conf and
/etc/readahead.files are marked executable.
