Are you sure you haven't been bitten by
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=136478 instead? The
livna.org nvidia drivers run flawlessly< so far here (admittedly with
-1.639 and not -1.640 but AFAICS that shouldn't matter).
