I think your "I had to search through bugzilla" is the answer, actually.
Unfortunately, the bugzilla search interface is pretty complicated and
frequently doesn't return the expected results.  It is possible to get a
list of "major problems from FC X" out of bugzilla, but tuning the query
to give you a sufficiently small number of results to be useful and
still capture the most relevant ones is less than trivial.
