Yes, it does, and it does so on a number of platforms because I've built it 
myself: FC3 and Solaris 9, just to name two. The gcc list is aware of issues 
relating to gcc 4.0 RC1, but they are fixing them now. If you have 
discovered problems please report them to the gcc list and see if there are 
fixes for them or if they are new bugs.
