OS platform for Helix Player 2.0

Hi guys,

I sent the attached email out to player-dev at hc.org re: the platform for 
balto (helix player 2.0).

Feedback appreciated, particularly if this is going to cause probems for 
your distribution. Please include the player-dev at helixcommunity.org list 
if possible. 2.0's coming out later in the year.
