Hmm, that could be due to recent pam changes.  gdm might need to update
it's pam config files.  I think xdm needs to have them updated too.

Good to hear!  With any major change like this, I usually get fairly
paranoid as the "goes into rawhide" date approaches, as there are
always a million possible problems that can occur, and it's hard to
predict all of the possiblities.  We've hit some issues already, but
so far things seem to be going remarkably smooth, which surprises
me.  I'm biting my nails wondering "when is the big surprise
coming?".  ;o)
