That's a strange convention, and certainly different from how other apps
use their conf.d dirs, but I guess it explains why these files were
shipped.

Thanks for the explanation.

BTW I don't suppose you can use magic negative numbers to have conf.d
directives evaluated before fonts.conf ones ?
