RFC: Corrupted video in X using the Xen kernel

Do you have cold sweats at night? Can't get to sleep? Visions
of incorrect pixels dancing in your head interfering with counting
sheep?

If you are suffering from "my X desktop is corrupted when I run
X while using the Xen kernel" syndrome, then you are in luck as
we have an experimental wonder drug to solve all of your problems.[1]

Ok, maybe not all of them. Please read bug #182578, which reports
corruption of video using the "radeon" driver under Xen kernels.
We're trying to gather data to determine if the problem is local
to usage of a particular driver, or particular hardware, or if it
is something more than that.

I seem to recall people mentioning they've had similar problems
with other hardware, but do not have any useful references to link
to.

So, if you have any video corruption problems under Xen kernels,
using only Red Hat supplied and built binary kernels, and you are
using open source drivers provided by Fedora Core, please CC
yourself on that bug, and indicate what video card you have, what
video driver(s) you are able to reproduce the problem on, and if
any driver avoids the problem, mention that too. Attach your X
server log and config file as individual uncompressed file
attachments as type "text/plain" for web viewing.

If you've found a way to work around the issue somehow, while still
being able to use Xen, please mention that also.

Include any other details in the report which you think may
possibly be useful in diagnosing the issue.

Thanks in advance,
TTYL
