FC5 was released without support for ne2000 and other ISA NICs. I ended up running the FC4 kernel. This is too late for the installation media, but can some kind soul turn on ISA NIC support? https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=136569 -- Do not meddle in the internals of kernels, for they are subtle and quick to panic.
