>From what I've read decoding Vorbis takes more power than MP3. Maybe
not much, but there usually are no cycles to spare in a player.
And, of course, you can buy cheap MP3 decoder chips, which do all the
heavy lifting for you, so your main CPU can be quite flimsy. I do not
know whether there are commercially available ogg decoder chips.
