Mylex or LSILogic DAC960PG Broken on Fedora Core 5

I think these are different bugs. I dont know about the second one 
though as I do not have permission to view it.

I am not with the machine in question but I am not sure but I believe 
this disabling ACPI may solve my problem, I will try it tomorrow.
