There is additional software you have access to as a RHEL customer that
is in fact non-free software.  However this software is not part of the
RHEL distribution, it is akin to an addon repository through RHN.  The
RHEL distribution (as it currently sits, say RHEL4/5) is in fact free
software.

Unless you had some other thoughts as to what makes rhel non-free.
