When I use the vesa driver, it is auto-detected at 800x600, not
1280x800. I have to run system-config-display to select a capable
monitor type (generic LCD or IBM TFT panel) before I can see 1280x800.

against F7. Should I do something (clone?) to get it in for F8T2?

Definitely gparted. The crash occurs on re-scanning even if no operation is performed.

Vesa. It also happened under F7 with either vesa or the proprietary
nvidia driver. I can't try nv, as it doesn't work at all.
