I think these errors were related to me trying to fix some things early on with the --nodeps option. I went ahead and reinstalled but still can't get kernel-2.6.25-0.40.rc1.git2.fc9 working. I haven't noticed anyone else in this thread mention whether they are using encryption or not. I believe my issue is related to using encryption,.. I get an error when updating saying "no path for essiv". I think it has something to do with mkinitrd not building with aes-cbc-essiv:sha256 support but not 100% sure.
