Regarding multimedia keys: There is one odd side affect my all this make
multimedia keys work that always confuses me; not sure if it's a small
bug, that's why I'm abusing this discussion for asking if it is.

I have two machines -- one desktop at work and a notebook at home.

On the desktop machine with a ordinary keyboard (without multimedia
keys) I configured keyboard shortcuts to mute (Ctrl + Alt + Left),
increase volume (Ctrl + Alt + Up) and decrease volume (Ctrl + Alt +
down) (I think those are the default keyboard shortcuts Gnome used for
this in the old days, but I'm not really sure; doesn't matter much).

My notebook has multimedia keys (which work, so you have another reason
to be happy). But quite often I try to use the keyboard shortcut on my
notebook as I'm used to them from my machine at work. I of course could
configure my Gnome session to do what I want the machine to do when I
hit the keyboard shortcuts -- but then the multimedia keys won't work
anymore which is also not really ideal :-/

Is there any way out of this dilemma? Is it worth filing a bug? If yes:
in Fedora or Gnome ?
