Metacity + Compositor + Intel + Maximize Vertical

That's what I am using for now. The original reason I posted was that
with the compositor enabled, I got the max vert problem and when I
turned it off, it seemed to work as expected. More testing is needed on
my part though as it seems this is a known older problem.
