Logout sound ever gonna be fixed?

Hey,

There is a bug report for it here:

That's there since just a few weeks but the issue itself is in
bugzilla several times and known for years now.
And i wonder what the status is with this. If it's so hard to get it
working then please just destroy the entire option to have a logout
sound in gnome at the first place. A feature that is in but broken is
kinda ugly.

And perhaps this info helps. When pulseaudio wasn't in gnome the
logout sound did work, but was already screwed! it just played a part
of the logout sound before getting cut off.

I hope anyone can give me some status on this bug. I really hope it
can be fixed for F11.
