You should make sure that you don't overlap with what rpmlint does, that
it only add checks that rpmlint doesn't achieve itself.


In the manpage encodings check, it seems that you don't take into
account the encoding specification that appears in some man page
directories, like
/usr/share/man/it.ISO8859-1/
Maybe these doesn't make sense, however.
