Thanks for the link - Mark Cox writes there...

"This is a common platform name, regardless of what individual applications
(packages) are provided.  Therefore spins can use the same name."

which answers my follow up question then -- at least until such time
that the OLPC School server grows to have its own CPE entry. Scary
thought.
