ctrl-alt-f1 is iffy on a lot of machines. Sometimes you need a reboot
to get back to X. Having the kernel involved in the whole affair has a
somewhat better chance of working. Well that or we might get a Linus
rant; that often gets things fixed a bit faster.

No, I haven't filed bugs for that. Sorry. I prefer to file bugs for
problems I can reliably reproduce; at least then I have a chance to
keep the bug open when the system tries to close it after the next
Fedora release.
