Fedora on NSLU2/Synology/etc.

Various embedded derivatives of Linux, and even full Debian,
have been there for some years.  It runs, slowly; fast enough
for 1.5Mbit/s DSL, not fast enough for 12Mbit/s cable modem.
Systems like WRT54GL (similar CPU speed as NSLU2) manage because
the switch is in hardware.  Don't even think of strenuous
native software development on NSLU2.

The NSLU2 is cramped and very slow, and is near end-of-life.
Look into the SheevaPlug ($100; 4X as fast, 16X the RAM of NSLU2)
