I have a F10 system that has never quite worked properly. Dell inspiron
530 desktop with builtin intel graphics, but we added an nvidia card,
and get the same behavior.
Case 1 fails: /etc/inittab set to run level 5. The initial login screen
comes up. Login as a user, and the screen goes black. SSH into the box,
and we see multiple copies of X running on many ttyN devices.
Case 2 works: /etc/inittab set to run level 3. After booting, from a
root ssh session from another machine, 'telinit 5'. The initial login
screen comes up, and user mode logins work nicely.
Any suggestions for debugging this?
