Well, up until we (Fedora) began to use UUIDs for disk partitions,
instead of mnemonic labels, Anaconda would default to creating
auto-incremented labels such as /1, /2, etc.; if labels for the
filesystem's mount-point (e.g., the root "/" in this case) were already
being used by other partitions that were not set to be erased and
reformatted on an installation process.
