I had a quick look at your post... I wanted to point out that I installed Picasa3 and Chrome not only with rpm but via Google's very convenient yum repos. I got wine from yum too and installed Spotify by running a Windows binary...

I suppose that means that if there are fine grained fixes for these problems, (as opposed to 'big switch' fixes) then all I need to do is report the problems and fixes in sufficient detail to the packager involved...
