For now I have grabbed this, but might orphan it again later. If someone
more motivated wants to take it let me know. I'll still hang on as an
extra maintainer if you do.

I am not in a position to take over upstream. I am already trying to do this
for chess and need more time for that.

This was pretty easy to fix and I'll commit something soon. -lm needed to
get added to a line in src/Makefile.am and src/Makefile.in. Since upstream is
dead, there won't be any point in trying to get the Makefile.am patch
upstream.

I haven't looked at this yet, but will take a quick look at it to see if
