Drop Xorg Nv driver?

He isn't. When you hit something like this, you can in fact file the bug
against the X driver component, even though it's technically in the
kernel, as the X driver maintainer is likely the one handling the kernel
code, and more interested in it. At least, you can CC the maintainer on
the bug.
